Master Bedroom Revamp

Before I even begin this post, just know that I already have my head in the corner for neglecting you guys all week. I know, shame, shame. You can give me a virtual smack on the hand if it helps. All joking aside though, we have been completely swamped over here at the Rettinger house (more on that later). Yea, yea. Excuses. But… in efforts to make amends, I have a little show and tell ready for you that I promised last week.

We renovated our master bedroom around the same time as the bath and I haven’t really been all the excited to share it. Possibly because it stands the same as it did after completion around 2 years ago. Yep. We’ve been so busy with other rooms around the house that the this one just got left behind. That is until a few days ago when I spotted this awesome sheet set over at West Elm. Gotta love ya some stripes.

Originally I had wanted a solid white and gray bedding concept with small pops of mustard yellow. This was great… for about a month. Then I realized I was being ultra boring. These stripes were just what it needed.

Not to mention a little kick in the butt to get things rolling again in this room. Here’s a taste of what we’re working with. Warning: in desperate need of wall art, accessories, and pretty much everything else other than furniture.

Oh, we do have a rug :) Ha.

And I’ll go ahead and apologize for the lack of details here. Although, I’m sure you guys don’t mind a little eye candy without all the blabber. Am I right?

      Hi Angie!
The yellow rug in the bedroom is the Alvine Ruta rug from Ikea. The gray shams and quilt are from Target a few years ago. You can see a similar set here. The duvet and duvet cover is also from Ikea, not sure on the name but it’s just plain and simple white. Hope this helps!

  5. what color is the wall color on the master bedroom wall?

    • Hi Kayla,
The wall color in the master bedroom is Ben Moore’s Chelsea Gray. I believe it’s in the classic colors deck under historic colors.
