House Crashed!

Just wanted to throw out a nice welcome to any peeps stopping in from YHL today. We’re already blown away by the amount of traffic and we are so, so, SO sorry if our site is running unusually slow today. Or completely crashing altogether. A house crash wouldn’t be complete without crashing the blog too, right? Haha.

I thought it’d be nice for any newcomers to have a few links upfront. Hopefully these will help you get to know us :)

1. About – just a bit about who we are and what we’re all about :)

2. House Tour – you can walk through our current house (still some updating to do here) as well as our previous home!

3. Categories – great if you’re looking for a specific room.

4. Contact – if you have any questions that you’d like a quick response to email is best, but comments are greatly encouraged as well!

Thanks again for joining us! Hope a few of you stick around for the ride!

Congrats on the house crash! As an alumni of Miami University, natives of Ohio, and having the entire in-law side of my family from Cincinnati, I’m always happy to see those from The ‘Nati doing great stuff with houses. Keep up the great work, we’ll be back often.

Love your house and blog!! All the yellow touches look awesome. Yellow has never looked so good!! Although, I live in Virginia (not close to John and Sherry) I am a HUGE Reds fan so I love Cincinnati!! I was just up there for one of the NLDS games. =D Looking forward to your “Around the Town” series. I want to hit up the City Flea hopefully this spring or summer when we come for a game. :)

I found your blog through the YHL Reader Redesign a while back, and have been a loyal follower ever since. Anxiously awaiting the dining room art reveal… no pressure. 😉

Hi Rick and Jessie! So glad I got to see your place on YHL today. I’m so inspired to do more DIY wall art (one of my favorite things but need to do a lot more) and your Wood Wall Ruler is just so awesome and timely since two days ago I was trying to think of a neat way to mark our kids’ height (they’re 1 and 3 right now) without having to leave it behind on a wall if we move or use a cheap paper one. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to follow your new projects!

So glad you found us Crystal! That’s the number one reason why we love the wood wall ruler, it can always come with us to a new home or be moved around :)

Was introduced to you by YHL and love all your yellow accents. You provide lots of inspiration for a new blogger like me who is trying to decorate her first apartment on something much less than a budget! I look forward to all your future posts.

Your home is so beautiful with such incredibly personal and amazing touches! I came over from YHL, and cannot wait to read through your posts. I have two girls as well so love the girls rooms.

I was so excited to see your house crashing tour on YHL – their post about your kitchen renovation came when I was in the final stages of picking materials for our renovation, and it was a great inspiration, especially to see something I loved so much in an older house/smaller kitchen than what I was seeing on Pinterest… So it was great to see the rest of your home. And somehow with the first post I missed noticing where you live, so this one got me even more excited – because we’ve got a 1950s house in Cincinnati too!
