That’s Pinteresting

Occasionally, I come across something so inspiring that it makes it’s way onto one of my Pinterest boards. And by occasionally, I mean several times a day. Pin Problems.

And what better way to feed my addiction than to transplant it here? So, every Friday I’ll now dedicate a post to highlighting a few of my favorite projects, pics, etc, found floating around Pinterest from the week. Which doesn’t mean that Fridays are solely for this series. I may periodically pop in with with an extra post as well!
Now, on with “That’s Pinteresting!”

The fabric I ordered weeks ago, finally came yesterday! Time to upholster the bench seat (and Zoey’s headboard!). Loving this tutorial for tufting!

Tufting a Headboard the EASY Way

Since we moved into our beautifully, tree-lined backyard of a house just over a year ago, FIVE giant, old trees have fallen down during windy storms. Breaks my heart. Maybe this fun tutorial for repurposing them could turn the situation around?

I’ve been hating on the popcorn ceilings in the girls’ bedrooms since we moved in. We’ve considered scrapping them down and doing smooth ceilings… but ugh, the dust. the mess. the work. How amazing is this? Planking right over them. Sign us up.

Love your ideas and inspiration! Question: I am in love with the idea you shared of wood planking over popcorn ceiling and the blog you linked to looked pretty thorough in the how-to, but you mentioned planking right OVER the popcorn even though she scraped first. Have you tried it yet or do you know it will work to do it right over? Please advise! Thanks!

Oh, I didn’t realize this! We’ll have to look into it more, but it’s definitely something we’re hoping to try. We’ll keep you posted when we tackle it 🙂
