This design runs a little closer to my heart than usual, as it’s for my soon-to-be-baby-neice..in-law? Aka- Ricky’s older sister, Sue, is preggers! I am beyond excited. When I met Ricky’s two sisters (one older, one younger) they embraced me as if I truly was their own sister. I’ve never felt so welcomed by another family in all my life. Almost seven years later and I can not even begin to describe the love and respect and I have grown for these girls.
So, when Sue asked me if I’d help her with the nursery design, of course I was elated. I don’t have the typical client’s written description of what she was looking for in the space, but I’ll give you guys a quick rundown with a few bullet points.
• A pink & gray color scheme.
• Something girly, but nothing crazy-pepto-bismol-pink on all the walls.
• A nod to an animal theme, without being “themey” and pasting Disney decals everywhere.
• Dark wood furniture.
• Budget friendly, as always.
Here’s what I came up with! I’m slightly obsessed with this nursery.
I’ll definitely be back with before & after pics as the room progresses
Note: As some of you may have noticed, I did not include links to the products within the mood board. Unfortunately, I’ve made the choice, based on several reasons, to no longer provide them here on the blog. As much as I’d love to, providing links a second time is extremely time consuming. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean you won’t have access to sources! I create Pinterest boards specific to each and every mood board that I create. You can simply hop on over and scroll to find any product you may be interested in! Here’s the direct link to Josie’s Nursery!
